XYS Technologies Inc. (AXYS) will be attending the European Wave and Tidal Energy Conference (EWTEC 2017) at the University College Cork in Cork, Ireland to advance the future of marine energy with other leaders in the field.  AXYS has joined the Mission to EWTEC 2017 alongside Marine Renewables Canada, supported by the Government of Canada and the Nova Scotia Department of Energy.

AXYS environmental monitoring technologies have played a significant role in the advancement of off-shore energy, providing essential data to the development of off-shore wind.  Our team is now collaborating with other researchers and innovators to advance wave and tidal renewable energy. Tidal energy can be greatly improved with the TRIAXYS Wave and Current Buoy, capable of giving accurate current profile through delivering both speed and direction for up to 128 different layers of the water column. For wave energy, the TRIAXYS wave sensors produce continuous ocean samples and transmit both directional and non-directional wave spectra and statistics. The accuracy of the data delivered is crucial for wave energy estimations and for assembling histograms showing probability and energy distributions, which are used to design and develop Wave Energy Converters (WEC).
