“Météo-France aims to build a coastal measurement network, improve coastal forecasts, and assist in the protection of property throughout France. The TRIAXYS is a key element in achieving our goals “said Gilbert EMZIVAT – Head of the Météo-France Marine Meteorology Office.
“We are proud to have our TRIAXYS solution selected by Météo-France as part of the French National Network, and are confident it will accurately and reliably inform their forecasts and meet their measurement requirements,” said PS Reilly – President and CEO, AXYS Technologies.
The TRIAXYS is a high-resolution, high-resolution, high-sensitivity TRIAXYS solid state wave sensor. Satellite telemetry enables cost-effective deployments of the outside of cellular and radio range.
Over the last decade, more than 300 TRIAXYS wave buoys have been deployed on various projects throughout the world. The TRIAXYS has been reliably proven to assist with safe navigation, offshore wind farms, offshore resource planning, and national meteorological coastal monitoring. The buoy has extensive success surviving harsh marine conditions at depths ranging from 10-300m and is easy to deploy with low maintenance costs
AXYS Technologies selected by Météo-France for the supply of TRIAXYS directional houlographs
In December 2017, Météo-France selected AXYS technologies for the supply of TRIAXYS directional houlographs , for a period of eight years.
“Météo-France aims to build a network of coastal measures in metropolitan France and overseas, intended to improve its maritime and coastal forecasts and to better ensure the protection of property and people. The TRIAXYS buoy was selected because it met all of our needs and will be a key element of this system “comments Gilbert EMZIVAT – Head of the Météo-France Marine Meteorology Center
“We are very proud that our TRIAXYS solution has been selected by Météo-France for the construction of a network of houlographs, and we are certain that our systems will be able to feed the forecasts with precise and reliable data” commented PS REILLY – President and Director of AXYS TECHNOLOGIES.
The TRIAXYS accurately measures the directional swell and transmits this data in real time, thanks to its TRIAXYS electronic motion sensor that does not require annual calibration. Its satellite transmission system allows deployment of the buoy at low cost; beyond radio ranges and telephony networks.
Over the last ten years, more than 300 TRIAXYS have been deployed on various projects around the world. The TRIAXYS provides accurate data, useful for the management of port traffic, maritime works, offshore wind fields to the study of potential wave power, to national weather agencies. The TRIAXYS buoy has also proven its ability to survive in extreme seas between 10 meters and 300 meters deep and is an easy-to-implement system with low maintenance costs.
