Production Planner

Role Outline:
Our Production department is seeking a Production Planner for our team. To be successful in this position you have 2 or more years’ experience in a production/manufacturing planner role, are highly organized and comfortable working with changing and sometimes conflicting priorities. Experience with both electrical and mechanical work orders within a marine or environmental sciences industry would be a benefit.

Reports To: Director of Solutions and Manufacturing Fulfillment
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and schedule production orders
- Work closely with Sales, Purchasing and the Warehouse to maintain components
- Participate in production status report meetings
- Monitor workflow capacity to achieve delivery dates
- Support the sales team with reliable lead time assessments
- Follow and adhere to all safety and quality procedures
- Participate with the production team on improvement initiatives
- Maintain production-related record keeping in the ERP/MRP and QMS system
- Other work as assigned
General Requirements:
- Willingness to take responsibility and driven to meet deadlines
- Great work ethic and the ability to work closely with a team or independently
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities
Desired Technical Skills & Experience:
- Good understanding of quality and process improvement methodologies
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and business reporting out of those systems
- Good understanding of MS Office tools
- Excellent understanding of Work Orders and Bill of Materials
